There are any number of diets and dieting programs. Despite the numerous diets, they often do not work, which many people are aware of. Health studies and nutrition analysis have propounded many theories and these theories gain and lose popularity, in predictable manners.
Fortunately, many of us know what our body requires and what kind of food we should eat and how much. The various diets that are prescribed by various agencies for a variety of reasons are not wholly dependable.
Dieting should not become a fad. Dieting for dieting sake is bad. Dieting should be aimed in such a way that it does not deprive the body of the essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals and fibers. Unless this is taken care of, there is no meaning in dieting, instead dieting can prove harmful.
Some of them may give you temporary results by losing a pound or two of your weight, only to put on the lost weight later, with some bonus pounds as well! Thus it is a fallacy to think that all diets which are now being touted are efficient to make you lose your weight.
The fact is that any diet means you are depriving at least one molecule, which your body needs to survive.
Molecules are made of carbon and a minimum of an atom of hydrogen. Thus molecules are organic compounds. The quickest means to supply an organism is by supplying oxygen, hydrogen and carbon. Most of our hydrogen and oxygen needs are met by water. Precisely for this reason, it is necessary that you should drink lots of water.
What is meant by plenty of water? How much should one drink per day, for instance? This depends on a number of factors. It stands to reason that a woman of five feet may require lesser water than a 6 feet male, since both have very different sizes. You should drink enough water which will make your urine clear like crystal. If your urine is yellow, it means you should take more water.
Diets should not deprive you of your nutrients. Instead your diet will be successful in reducing your weight only when it compensates nutrients essential for the body.
